Recipe: Honey Soy Roasted Chicken Wings

Chicken wings are a big favorite with our family, so I try to make it once a month for them. Last week, I made honey soy roasted chicken wings, and it was a big hit! Both kids ate 2 whole wings and were licking their fingers at the end of it. That's what I like to see - kids with good appetites ;)

Honey soy roasted chicken wings

The chicken wings are marinated early in the morning (you can marinate them overnight too, the longer the better!) and then roasted for 25-30 minutes until golden brown. We served the wings with oven-roasted fries and some raw vegetables.

Honey Soy Roasted Chicken Wings
Recipe by Baby Sumo
Preparation time: 2-3 minutes
Cooking time: 30 minutes
Serves 4

Ingredients
12 chicken wings, cleaned

For the marinade
1/4 cup light soy sauce
1 tbsp ginger wine
3 tbsp honey
1 tsp coarse black pepper
2 tbsp cooking oil

To serve
Salad
French fries

1. Place all marinade ingredients in a bowl, and mix well. In a ziploc bag, place chicken wings into the bag and add the marinade and marinate for at least 6 hours in the fridge, preferably overnight.

2. Preheat oven to 190°C (roast mode). Line a baking tray with foil and arrange wings on tray in a single layer. Cook for 10 minutes, flip over to other side, cook for another 10 minutes, then flip again and pour the marinade over the wings and cook for another 10 minutes (total cooking time 30 minutes), until the meat is cooked through and the skin is sticky, and a beautiful golden brown.

3. Remove and serve immediately with some of the marinade leftover in tray as a dip.
